Located in the slope land of east Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, landscape of Kaili is higher in northwest, southwest and southeast part, and lower in middle and north-east part, with highest elevation of 1447 meters and lowest elevation of 529 meters. Kaili belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate. It is cold in winter and hot in summer.
