Yangshuo Shopping

For a spot of shopping West Street is the place to head. Walk along the cobbled street and you'll find many things to buy. You can watch silk being woven or silver being hammered into shape. Bargaining hard is necessary there. And the most popular things recommended to buy it’s the local Zhuang Brocade and embroidery which is hand made by the local people and unique in all over China. The local people have many varieties and styles of headdresses. They like to use silver hairpins, silver flowers, strings of silver beads, small arch-shaped silver planks and so on, so on the West street plenty of tenders of these kind of handicrafts are available, small but exquisite. You can get these souvenirs near all the tourist spots and at the street stalls, especially West Street, where most people speak English fluently and the goods are named in both English and Chinese. Along West Street there are over one hundred stalls selling various tourist souvenirs, including not only the items mentioned above, but also antiques, ornaments, as well as Chinese calligraphy and Chinese paintings, and Chinese traditional costumes. Additionally, there are many special stores selling silk, linen and wax painted cloths, where you can have a suit made to order according to your size.
