There is no train station in Shangri-La. Tourists can reach to Shangri-La by air or coach/private vehicle.

By air
Shangri-La airport is 5km far to Shangri-La downtown. There are daily flights between Shangri-La and Kunming, Shangri-La and Chengdu; and flights between Shangri-La and Lhasa, Shangri-La and Xian and other cities in high season.

By Coach
It is about 172km from Lijiang to Shangri-La, taking 3.5hours by car. There are Tiger Leaping Gorger and Stone Drum town along the trip.
It is about 307km from Dali to Shangri-La, taking 6hours by car.
It is about 623km from Kunming to Shangrila, taking 10hours by car.
